Cala Ratjada, in the municipality of Capdepera, is one of the most prominent coastal towns in Mallorca. Its picturesque port still maintains its traditional character, with many moored fishing boats, including the traditional Majorcan llaüt. During the summer, it becomes an area that attracts a large number of travelers looking to spend a vacation near the beach.

Cala Agulla is about a 15-minute walk from the center of Cala Ratjada and has a sandy beach with transparent waters. In the other direction, towards Canyamel, is Sa Font de sa Cala, a popular tourist area with families. Cala Son Moll and Cala Gat are also noteworthy.

Cala Ratjada offers all kinds of services and amenities and has managed to preserve much of its history, charm and essence. Its versatility positions it as a destination that meets the most diverse leisure demands. Things to do in Cala Ratjada

There are countless plans and activities that can be done both in Cala Ratjada and very close to there, as well as places to visit that will surprise you. It has a 19th century lighthouse, in Punta de Capdepera, and Sa Torre Cega, a house - museum that can be visited today and which was one of the March family residences. The house, from the beginning of the 20th century, is in a regionalist style and its spectacular gardens stand out.

The Mirador de la Talaia de Son Jaumell offers the best views of the beaches in the area, while allowing a pleasant walk, as well as its emblematic Paseo Marítimo.

Beaches

Cala Ratjada has a wide variety of beaches, which share some common characteristics: fine white sand and transparent waters; wide variety of services, such as bars, restaurants, hammocks, umbrellas, lifeguards and the possibility of practicing water sports; nearby car parks or easy parking in the nearby streets and natural surroundings in which to walk, cycle or go hiking.

Cala Agulla: it is one of the most emblematic of Mallorca, located within the wild beauty of the sand dunes, pine trees, desert plants and rocky areas that make up the Llevant Peninsula Natural Park.

Son Moll: it is an urban beach flanked by two lively pedestrian promenades, frequented by tourists and residents and with a variety of shops, bars and shops.

Cala Mesquida: it has a large dune area, protected for its high environmental value and declared an Area of Natural Interest, which is home to a significant number of plant and land species.

Cala Gat: it is a beautiful, small and quiet sandy area, surrounded by tamarinds and palm hearts, which invite you to bathe in its transparent waters. Nearby is the Club Nautic Cala Ratjada. Being a semi-virgin beach, it does not have services.

Font de sa Cala: a train service connects this beach with those of Son Moll and Cala Agulla and also with the urban center of Cala Ratjada.

Canyamel: stands out for its easy access, tranquility and little influx of tourists.

Golf

Just 7 km from our hotel in Cala Ratjada is Capdepera Golf, the ideal course for lovers of this sport, located between the Castle of Capdepera and Artà. It has an 18-hole course, with spectacular views of the Majorcan Levante mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, which makes the experience even more special.

Capdepera Golf has a Mallorcan-style clubhouse that has a shop, a golf school with a practice area and the Roca Viva Restaurant, which has a wonderful terrace with mountain views.
